The Boat

The construction is in glass/epoxy composite for the hull and carbon/ epoxy for the deck. In this way we have used the lightest material where it is needed most, i.e. on the deck and then we have used glass in the hull to eliminate the noise. It has been designed for use by a couple, without crew and therefore it has all of the automation and equipment that serve to make it easy to use. This equipment includes a furling mainsail inside the boom with an automatic halyard regulated by a captive winch, all-electric windlasses and fairleads, a powerful bow thruster, a large warping winch on the bow to pull the moorings and a telescopic anchor nose with free line. The deck is fully faced in teak and complete with flush inset companions, custom built by Baltic Yachts and it has the special feature of an integrated deckhouse, like on the Baltic 60 “Mattone”, where the top of the deckhouse goes down gently into the stern, integrating the steering area and backs in the cockpit seating.

This solution was suggested by the owner on the previous boat and has proved successful both because of the pleasant aesthetic effect and the great comfort while cruising. Since this boat has been designed for fast cruising with maximum comfort, it has all of the best possible equipment, such as: computer-controlled air conditioning that is battery operated, meaning it is possible to keep cool without switching on the generator; an engine increased by 240 hp for cruising speeds of 11 knots; automatic water maker; automatic generator with 24V on the batteries; integrated monitoring system; control and navigation on screens in both the course charting area and at the wheel. The style and layout of the interiors were conceived in conjunction with the owner and Vismara Design, but the style remains the classic look of a real Baltic. Fittings are in veneered teak over a composite structure, to give this ultra-modern, ultra-light boat a more traditional feel. The interior has been divided into four cabins, saloon, galley and three bathrooms.
