In 1996, together with the Energy Faculty of the University of Florence, Vismara founded the first research competition for hulls, sails and propulsion in the nautical industry (International Consortium Advanced Design) to open know-how to the outside, deriving from the use of scientific testing instruments which until now had only been available in the fields of aeronautics and industry.
